FOOD FOR SOUL
A Couple’s Inner and Outer Journey toward Living Fully
Food for Soul is a travel memoir that follows the fifteen-month journey my husband Antonio and I took around the world. Our path led us through places such as the Himalayan mountains, the Komodo Islands, Myanmar, the Amazon, and many others. The idea for the book came to me as I realized how profoundly this adventure was reshaping us, both externally through the cultures and landscapes we explored, and internally through the healing, questioning, and growth it sparked.
Before we left, Antonio had changed careers to become a chef, and I had recently lost my mother to cancer while completing my coaching certification. Travel became a catalyst: a space for grief, career reinvention, and rediscovery.

As I journaled our experiences, I felt called to turn them into a book that blended vivid storytelling about the places we visited and the people we met with gentle, reflective guidance. I wanted to offer my most honest and raw account of that journey—sharing lessons without ever prescribing answers.

Food for Soul brings moments of laughter, wonder, inspiration, adventure, challenge, healing, and heartfelt reflection. It invites readers to explore themes such as purpose, connection, courage, spirituality, and self-discovery. My hope is that it encourages anyone who reads it to reflect on their own path and the life they wish to create.
BOOK BLURB

What feeds the soul—adventure, love, or the courage to begin again?

At sixteen, Antonio dreamed of traveling the world and living fully. Ten years later, he marries his childhood love, Jessica, has recently shifted his career toward his passion for food, and is about to turn that dream into reality.

At twenty-six, Jessica is rebuilding her life after the loss of her mother. Newly married and newly certified as a health coach, she leaves her corporate job behind to embark on a journey that is as transformative as it is empowering—a journey of overcoming grief, pursuing purpose, and cultivating courage.

From the sacred silence of Himalayan temples to the untamed wilds of the Amazon, each destination offers lessons in love, spirituality, and resilience, as Jessica and Antonio navigate cultural wonder, travel mishaps, and life’s uncertainties.
More than a travel memoir, Food for Soul is a story of awakening, both in the world and within ourselves. It celebrates deepening self-discovery, career reinvention, and stepping into one’s most authentic self. Tender, vivid, and profoundly human, it invites readers to live fully, heal deeply, and discover beauty in every facet of life.
